A great pairing with this book is Dream Big: Michael Jordan and the Pursuit of Excellence by Deloris
Jordan, his sister. It's great to use as a primary source and to talk about how this book is written from first-person point-of-view, while Jump is written from third-person point-of-view.
You can also show Michael's movie Space Jam. It shows him playing baseball and basketball. Check out the trailer!
Check out other resources for Jump! and other Journeys stories on my class website.
Another great story to compare to JUMP would be Salt in His Shoes: Michael Jordan and His Pursuit of a Dream. If you haven't read, I recommend! =)
